Restaurant Can Cires

In the Sant Mateu village we find this endearing restaurant, Can Cires, having the natural charm of its environment and an exquisite cuisine.

The restaurant is erected in a typical and ancient Ibizan house with over 200 years that was a local product shop and a bar until it was remodel in 2003. After the refurbishment it became a restaurant with the transformation of the rooms into dining rooms and also into an art gallery where artists from Ibiza show their works.

The interior retains the essence of a rustic villa with stone walls and simple wooden furniture. Outdoors there is a romantic wide terrace where we could find a large number of tables, surrounded by greenery that makes the stay even more enjoyable. Next to the restaurant there is the village church which is worth a visit before leaving.

The restaurant is managed by a couple, Victoria and Francis, who gradually has become his extraordinary chef. Their dishes are usually Mediterranean and very often they introduce some of Ibiza’s own cooking. They have a great virtue: they change the menu every season depending on what is available in the market, which always guarantees fresh product and a variety of dishes throughout the year.

The gastronomic offer is very varied with sufficient dishes to choose from. As starter they usually have soups, salads, seafood, flambé (similar to pizza with many ingredients) or the best Iberian. As main dish they always have a great variety of meat and fish. And we need to make a particular reference to their delicious desserts, always homemade and using local products and seasonal fruit.

You can’t miss Can Cires, both for food and for the environment. It is open all year from 11h to 24h, except in November when it’s closed.
